Lead Maintenance Technician — Industrial | Sioux Falls, SD

Job Position: Banquet Waitstaff
Location: Sioux Falls , SD 57104
Pay Rate: $10.00/hr
Shift: 2:00pm-11:00pm

AppointedTrades is partnering with a leading Sioux Falls manufacturer to hire a Lead Maintenance Technician—a hands‑on industrial maintenance expert who can troubleshoot, repair, and guide a small team on a fast‑moving production floor. This is a direct‑hire role with long‑term stability, strong leadership visibility, and the chance to influence maintenance standards across the facility.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead day‑to‑day maintenance activities across production, packaging, and facility systems

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment

  • Mentor junior technicians and support skill development across the team

  • Execute and improve preventative & predictive maintenance programs

  • Collaborate with operations and engineering to reduce downtime and optimize equipment performance

  • Maintain accurate work orders, parts usage, and maintenance documentation

  • Support installation, upgrades, and commissioning of new equipment

  • Ensure safety compliance and promote a culture of safe work practices

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, food processing, plastics, metals, or similar environments

  • Strong competency in mechanical repair, electrical systems, PLC basics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial automation

  • Ability to lead by example and guide less‑experienced technicians

  • Experience with CMMS systems and preventative maintenance programs

  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams

  • A mindset focused on uptime, reliability, and continuous improvement

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience with Allen‑Bradley PLC troubleshooting

  • Welding/fabrication skills

  • Industrial HVAC, boilers, or ammonia refrigeration exposure

  • Prior lead or senior technician responsibilities

Schedule & Environment

  • Full‑time, on‑site in Sioux Falls, SD

  • Stable, well‑run industrial facility with modern equipment

  • Occasional overtime depending on production needs
